Earn your bachelor’s in a high-demand STEM field with $10,000 KU scholarships for Kansas community college students

Thanks to a government grant, students from Dodge City, Garden City, Kansas City and Seward County community colleges are eligible to apply for scholarships of $10,000 to complete their bachelor's degree at KU. Programs can be 100% online or on-campus. Scholarships are for undergraduate studies in:

  • Cybersecurity (100% online)
  • Health Sciences (100% online)
  • Information Technology (100% online)
  • Criminal Justice (100% online)
  • Biotechnology (classes held at the KU Edwards Campus in Overland Park)

This program is offered by the Intelligence Community Centers for Academic Excellence (IC CAE) and is designed to give graduates a competitive edge when applying for positions in the Intelligence Community or other professional careers. To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a full-time student, U.S. citizen, have a 3.0 GPA, and complete one qualifying class (Intelligence: Supporting National Security) as a freshman or sophomore.

In addition to funding, as an IC CAE scholar, you will have opportunities to accelerate your career with:

  • Professional development and training relevant to U.S. Intelligence Agencies
  • Priority access to Intelligence Community internships
  • Undergraduate research capstone courses
  • Student travel and conference sponsorship
