Emerging Leaders Academy is Now in Texas!

This four-month program develops aspiring, non-managerial staff in public service through a collaborative partnership between the University of Kansas Public Management Center and DC Municipal Consulting. The program includes nine instructional sessions and helps participants prepare for positions of increasing responsibility while improving their effectiveness in their current roles. It is an opportunity for public agencies to invest in succession planning and for participants to grow their self-knowledge and leadership skills. Each class builds on the ideas from previous meetings to create a deep understanding of effective public service workplaces that meet the needs of their communities.

We're excited to announce that this fall, the Academy will be all in-person! We look forward to the added networking benefits of shifting to an all in-person format. Participants should plan for 60 minutes (on average) of work between each class meeting to prepare for class and complete the required assignments.
